Carpenter and Cook

Treasure kept in the area of landed houses is Carpenter and Cook. Carpenter and Cook has a range of vintage furniture that are carefully selected by the owner. I love their range of typewriters the most.
This is how the cafe look on the outside (Spot me!)

Look at the vintage interior, filled with some of our childhood memories.

You can consider bringing this home for your kitchen.

Some old records that I don't think I'm born when they were released!

Little wooden horse, I believe I would enjoy rocking in it if I'm a child.

The old little table that remind me of the 80s where we could leave our books under the table.

I had two tarts and two different pot of tea.

Introducing Valrhona Sea Salt Carmel Tart, this tart is really good. It is a combination of rich dark chocolate and Sea Salt Carmel at the bottom. It goes perfectly with the teas. This cost $6.50 per tart.

Next this is Passionfruit Meringue Tart. I had a surprise on my first bite, which was pretty sour. But soon, I got addicted to the taste of the tart. A bite of tart with a sip of tea leave a sweet after taste in my mouth, making me want for more. Personally, I don't like sour desserts, but I will definitely get this again!  This cost $6.50 per tart too.

Next here are two different type of tea that I've tried. They are Cactus Mint Smoother and Counting Sheep.
Cactus Mint Soother is mint with cactus flower, it is light and refreshing.
Counting Sheep on the other hand is peppermint with Carmel, it has a richer touch than cactus mint soother. The Carmel gave the peppermint tea and extra spark.
This two teas are definitely worth a try since they come together with such pretty pots. It is $5 for a pot of tea, which is meant for two cups.

Awfully Chocolate

I'm sure Awfully Chocolate is one of the many brands of chocolate pastry that is very well known. But if it's your first time trying out and cannot decide which to get, well I hope this will help you!

Just look at those gorgeous looking cakes! This is the range of goodies that will make you open up your wallets and pockets without realising.

How about these mouth watering chocolates?

So with much consideration I decided to purchase Flourless Chocolate Cake. It is real goodness in a piece of chocolate cake! This is a Dark Chocolate Cake dusted with icing sugar. The crisp outer bite and moist, dense texture gives you the experience of how it is like to have a crunchy exterior and soft interior.

Not forgetting it is filled with chocolate in every bite. It is also not like some chocolate cake that leave you feeling sick, thinking you had too much and feel overwhelm after a few bites.  This will leave you wanting much much more. You can now not worry about feeling you had too much chocolate. This masterpiece is price at $6.80 each.

Next is this White Chocolate Creme Brulee Tart. This is what I always wanted to try and let me tell you, I am really glad that I brought this tart! It is a white chocolate custard topped with caramelized glaze. It taste like pudding with hint of sweetness and the slightly burned sugar on the top of the tart just makes it all the more better! Not only so, after finishing the tart you will be able to keep the ceramic dish, which is really useful! This sweet goddess is charge at $7 each.

    Paris Baguette

All the way from South Korea, Paris Baguette has come to Singapore is they are staying for good!

I visited the JEM outlet, to be honest it is slightly small but that does not mean they are lack in anything!
The outlet at JEM keeps the same interior design as how it look likes at the Orchard outlet.
The chairs and tables just make the whole place look royal!
When you are here, I do recommend you to find a seat before getting your food.

You will start with this good looking range of bread. They are the best to be brought home for your breakfast the next day. They not only will give you a beautiful tasty morning, these bread will add a new meaning to your definition of bread!

As you move down the line, you will see all this beautiful mouth watering cakes. I will ensure you that if you have all the money, you would want to buy every single piece and try them all.
They do sell their cakes as a whole and in individual slices.
These cakes not only look good but they have real interesting names like 'Haha Family'.

Once you're here, it is a must for you to try at least one of their famous Royal Pudding! They have flavours like strawberry, chocolate and mango for you to choose from.

I took out my purse and decided to get an Original Royal Pudding and Strawberry Napoleon.

Introducing Strawberry Napoleon, this is a bread like cake that gets quite messy when you eat it. But it does taste good with a bit of crunch and hint of sweetness.

and this is Mr. Original Royal Pudding! You can taste the real goodness of this milk based pudding. One that you must try to know how it really taste like. But the pudding is definitely the remedy for your sweet tooth.
