Marché @ Somerset 313

Located at the entrance of Somerset MRT station, it is a place where teenagers like me would definitely not stop by. Maybe some of us might notice the huge mounted trophies as we walk down to places like *Scape, H&M and Orchard Road but likely that is it.

'Marché 313 @ somerset has been tantalizing Singapore with delicious European culinary delights from Switzerland.  Enjoy fresh, healthy and highest quality food in a tranquil setting of a Swiss Alpine village, painstakingly installed by six Swiss craftsmen from the dismantled original Swiss chalets of the 16th century', Marché.

Merché at Somerset station offers main course, dessert spread, snacks, home-made drinks, coffee and alcoholic beverage.

Upon entering, I was greeted by friendly customer service.
Descending from the stairs was a funny experience, there are animals like sheep, dogs and they move!

Upon entering the restaurant you will be given a card called the 'guest card', how does this card work?
Well, when you order something the station staff will swipe your card and you can pay everything right after you have finish your meal at the counter by the exit escalator.

They use the style of buffet spread, with the only difference that you pay for each item and not a single price for everything.

The overall interior design of the restaurant feels like your in the market place of the movies or like in a fairytale.
I really like how fairytale-like the environment is and the staff are just like the market stores owner, allowing you to choose from the whole wide range of food.
The staff will also describe to you each type of item so you can decide what you really want!
It is free seating and I decided to choose a seat right by the window.
On the other hand, they do not have specific menu so it will definitely be a huge surprise.

You got to note that you can take photos at your table but not the range of food (therefore this photo you see is what i took before i was told not to!)

This is what I had for the day, Bread butter pudding. The raisins just makes it all the better.

That's all for today! Remember to subscribe to me by email or follow me on instagram at http://instagram.com/foodkaleidoscope/ for the latest updates on food bites in Singapore!
